Eric has been a licensed occupational therapist since 1999. His experience is in spinal cord injury rehabilitation and wheelchair seating. Eric decided to become a therapist after he sustained a spinal cord injury when he was 18 years old. He went on the earn a degree in Community Health from Texas A&M University and then an occupational therapy degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He worked for 10 years as an occupational therapist in inpatient rehab on the spinal cord injury unit at TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital in Houston. He has worked in outpatient rehab in Austin since 2012.

Eric enjoys teaching and is adjunct faculty in the occupational therapy program at the University of St. Augustine. He was also the coordinator of a wheelchair sports camp for children with disabilities for many years. Eric has been active in adapted sports and recreation over the years and enjoys hand cycling, SCUBA and traveling with his wife and daughter.
