Alex joined the Spero Rehab family in 2019 after his 2018 graduation. Alex graduate4d top of his class with High Honors and received the academic award for Outstanding Student in Clinical Education. Alex spent a significant amount of time training under our Neurological team as a student before he was brought on as a full-time physical therapist. Before attending PTA school Alex worked as a rehab technician at TIRR Memorial Hermann where he worked as part of Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation NeuroRecovery Network Program, assisting with research on gait training. He is fluent in Spanish, French, and English and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Outside of the clinical setting, Alex is an endurance and adventure racer. Every year he competes in the 'Texas Water Safari', the world's toughest canoe race, as well as other events encompassing a range of disciplines including climbing, trail running, and mountain biking.
