Lauren is an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Augustine in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and loves the educational component of her profession.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. Together, they enjoy getting outdoors, exploring new places and restaurants in Austin, and having gatherings with family and friends.
Lauren has been a licensed physical therapist for 8 years. She graduated in 2006 from Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in Kinesiology and Applied Exercise Physiology. She then went on to receive her Master’s of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2008.
Lauren’s passion in Physical Therapy has been the evaluation and treatment of patients with Neurological disorders. She became Board Certified in Neurological Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2011.
Additional interests and training courses have included: Advanced Vestibular Assessment and Training, Clinical Evaluation and Management of Visual and Perceptual Impairments, Concussion Management and training, Neuro IFRAH course and certification, NDT (Neurodevelopmental treatment), Spinal Cord Injury evaluation and assessment, and numerous prosthetic and gait training courses.
