Heather Rennerfeldt, MOT, OTR

Heather has been a licensed Occupational Therapist since 2009. She graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2005, then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy form the University of South Dakota in 2008..

Heather is certified in the use of the Hacoma Lokomat for Neurological Rehabilitation and has been certified in Neuro-Integrative Functional Rehabilitation and Habilitation (NEURO-IFRAH) in the Treatment and Management of Adults with Hemiplegia. She also has experience with the Hocoma Armeo Spring the Saebo Myotrac Infinit, and the Bioness H200. Her primary focus is neuro-rehabilitation, specifically spinal cord injuries, strokes, and neurological diseases.

While receiving her education, Heather served in the US Army Reserves for 13 years and is a veteran of OEF/OIF.

In her spare time, Heather volunteers with the Lonestar Paralysis Foundation and is a camp counselor at Camp Xtreme. She also has been involved in adapted sports including wheelchair rugby since 2010. She is equipment manager for the Texas Stampede Wheelchair Rugby Team and occasionally works with the USA National and Development Wheelchair Rugby team. Heather has also played able-bodied rugby since 2000 and has been with the Austin Valkyries Womens Rugby team since 2013.
